Spotlight Playhouse is pleased to announce auditions for Oliver!, by Lionel Bart based on Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. This classic tale will be presented with a starkly realistic view of the darkness and difficulties of the lower-class in Victorian London, in contrast with the lifestyles of the idle rich of the times. This will not be your grandmother’s Oliver.

Auditions will be held in groups on August 5 & 6. A call back session will be held on August 6 at 7 PM. All auditions will be held at our rehearsal space at 15 Union St, Suite 459, Lawrence, MA.

For more information about Oliver!, please visit our auditions page.

Spotlight Playhouse is proud to announce that we will be perfoming Murder at Cafe Noir – Musical Interactive Murder Mystery, An Acting Out! and Spotlight Playhouse Collaboration! Show dates are September 16 and 17.

This 1940s detective story features Rick Archer, PI, who is out to find a curvaceous runaway on the forgotten island of Mustique, a place stuck in a black-and-white era. The owner of the Café Noir has washed ashore, murdered, and Rick’s quarry was the last person seen with him. He employs his hard boiled talents to find the killer. Was it the French madam and club manager, the voodoo priestess, the shyster British attorney, the black marketeer, or the femme fatale? The audience votes twice on what they want Rick to do next, and these decisions change the flow of this comic tribute to the Bogart era.

Spotlight Playhouse is thrilled to be producing this treat for audiences and performers alike! For more information, please see our current show page.

Tickets can be purchased online, via email, or over the phone. For more information about purchasing tickets, please visit our tickets page or click on the ticket icon below.
